How do I schedule an appointment?

Are fees covered by insurance?

Please inquire with your provider if they cover services provided by Registered Psychotherapists or Registered Social Workers (services with Anna). Your extended healthcare provider may render services partially or in full. We provide patients with a detailed invoice of their session, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. We do not provide direct billing at this time.

What are your fees?

Fees are $160+HST. Some sliding scale spots are available, please inquire with your therapist for availability. Our Social Worker, Anna charges $160 with no HST. Our counselling intern, Danielle Krannabetter provides counselling services on a sliding scale. Payment for service is accepted by credit card only for new clients. The client care coordinator will charge the card on your Jane account (Jane is a secure booking platform) after your session has been completed. You will be provided with an invoice/receipt at the end of your appointment. If you would like to book with our Clinic Director and Psychotherapist, Rania Oustad, please note that sessions with her are $180 plus HST. Do inquire on Rania's availability.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept payment via credit card. Your therapist or counsellor will discuss payment details with you during your consultation appointment.

Are you covered by OHIP?

We are a private practice, therefore, we are not covered by OHIP.

How long are appointments?

Treatment appointments are 50 minutes in duration, this is standard practice in psychotherapy to allow your therapist to update your file. Sessions with our counselling intern are also 50 minutes.

How many sessions until I get better?

Everyone’s circumstances are unique and the length of therapy is dependent on various factors such as your desire and personal development. A typical psychotherapy treatment plan is 12 weeks but it’s difficult to instill lasting change if it is less than this but certainly not impossible. Feel free to discuss your individual needs with your therapist directly.

What can I expect at the first appointment?

The first appointment is a chance for your therapist or counsellor to get to know you and your presenting issues better. We call the first session or two “intake assessment sessions”, this means your therapist will ask you a variety of questions to gain a better understanding of how they can help you and what kind of treatment plan would be best for your individual journey. You may also discuss goals for your therapy journey in this session. Please don’t hesitate to ask your therapist any questions about your treatment plan at any point in time. Therapy is a very collaborative process!

What if the therapist isn’t a good match for me?

If you do not feel like the therapist or counsellor is the right person to help you with your needs, please contact us directly and we can refer you to another therapist at the practice or outside of the practice, we want you to find the best therapist to support you!

Do you offer virtual/online sessions?

Yes! We offer virtual therapy through secure video conferencing and are in compliance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). You will be provided with an emailed virtual link 30 minutes prior to your session start time. We do not offer in-person sessions at this time for new clients.

Do you offer assessments?

We do not provide psychological assessments or reports for ADHD or Psycho-educational purposes at this time.

What is the cancellation policy?

In order to accommodate everyone, please provide 48-hours notice. With the exception of emergencies, any cancellation with less than 48-hours notice will be charged the full session fee.
